Killeen Texas is a city in Bell County, Texas. The city’s population was 127,921 as of 2010 according to the United State Census. Killeen Texas is the 21st most populous city in the state of Texas. It is the “principal city’ of the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood Metropolitan statistical area. Killeen is directly adjacent to the main cantonment of Fort Hood and due to this fact its economy is heavily dependent on the post and the soldiers and their families stationed there. This makes it even more important that residents of Killeen take advantage of the deregulated electricity markets as budgets can be extremely tight for our military families. By having the power to choose their electricity provider residents can have the choice between postpaid electricity and prepaid electricity. Postpaid electricity gives residents the option to lock down their electricity rates for terms from three, six, twelve and twenty four months. Postpaid electricity plans do have requirements such as credit checks and valid ID’s. Prepaid electricity plans are ideal for many residents who have credit or ID issues. By having no credit checks prepaid electricity means having no deposit. By having the power to compare electricity rates the city of Killeen residents and business community can take advantage of lower their energy bills.
